Anna Silk
Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada is an actress most well-known for her role as Bo on the Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay Silk's parents are Peter, an academic and Peter Silk who was an actor and director. He was also a playwright, educator, and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna is a bit of a child with earliest memories of watching and going to rehearsals for plays. Silk starred in numerous commercials for kids. Silk completed her studies at St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas staged two plays in the early years: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk moved in Toronto in her quest to act and progress, and then moved she moved to Los Angeles California. Silk met her husband, Seth Cooperman, at an actor's workshop in Los Angeles in 2007. Following their engagement in 2008, they got married in 2009. The couple renewed their vows April 10th 2011 at Fredericton with the tradition of a Jewish wedding ceremony, after Silk converted to Judaism. Silk gave birth to the son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on May 13, 2016. Silk's work on television is centered around the character Cassidy Holland in Being Erica in which she was awarded an Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. She was given the role of Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian show Lost Girl in 2009. Silk made it known to her fans that she was expecting a baby in January 2013 at a Showcase Season Three Special. The 4th of June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced that production was beginning on the fourth season. On June 20 2013 Silk tweeted that she was ready to the set of the show. Her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender on Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite TV Couples in the year 2013 by CNN (Cable News Network) and named the Top TV Couple in 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Silk is a huge online fan base on Facebook and Twitter, as a direct consequence of its success.
